    We had our friends Mardi, Dion, and their two little kids over for brunch this weekend. I made a batch of blueberry cinnamon streusel muffins, this time using an extra 1/4 cup of blueberries at the suggestion of David and Liz, two of my recipe testers (thanks you two!) My husband made a smoked salmon, caramelized onion, and dill scramble, and I made a puffed pancake with blackberry sauce–too bad the pancake deflated by the time I slid it on a plate, dusted it with icing sugar, spooned the berries over top, and set up the camera! I’ll have to try this recipe again with the camera set-up all ready, so you can see it in its souffléd glory.

    After a few mimosas, we took their kids and our puppy to the park, and then my husband and I went out for Indian food later on in the day. I hope you all had a beautiful weekend outside in the sun!
