Queen Anne Farmer’s Market Demo
Photo taken at last week’s Woodmark Hotel event
Just a quick note that I’ll be at the Queen Anne Farmer’s market doing a cooking demo/book signing this afternoon at 4pm. I’ll be making crostini with the romesco sauce in The Newlywed Kitchen, topped with whatever lovely grilled veggies, bacon, and/or cheese I find at the market.
Also today: a 3pm demo fromone of my personal heroes, Jon Rowley, a 5pm chef demo from Brittany Adams from Betty restaurant. (She is their excellent pastry chef–I am excited to snag some of whatever goodie she is cooking up!); and a 6pm demo from ultra-cool Herschell Taghap of All Things Chill.
Perhaps the best thing about today’s farmer’s market is that there will be Shuksan strawberries available. You can read about my Shuksan strawberry adventure last year, here. They really are the best berries on earth.

Any idea where to get Shuksan strawberries in the SF Bay Area? Those look positively gorgeous!

e saw you as I was driving away today! If I’d known you were doing a demo, I would’ve come later – oh well. I assume it was a big success
– hope you had fun! What a day for it, right? Glorious.

I went out to John’s farm to get Shuksan after your blog last year and loved them. I don’t think his berries were organic though. Do you know of a farm stand I could visit with Organic Shuksan?
Thanks.
